Kate Carmichael completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia and earned her graduate degree from Texas State University. Since beginning her career as a therapist in 2010, Kate founded ATX Counseling in 2015. Prior to this, she worked at STARRY Counseling, a non-profit organization focused on child and family counseling, where she learned the importance of family to a person’s understanding of self.
Kate established ATX Counseling to offer clinicians ongoing support and a rich learning environment to enhance their clinical training. She provides clinical supervision and training using the Person Of The Therapist Training model, aiming to educate and nurture the next generation of therapists to provide the best in clinical care.
Dedicated to clinical excellence, Kate is passionate about serving the Austin community and is deeply committed to growth, learning, and fostering a sense of community. For fun, Kate enjoys spending time with her identical twins, Hugo and Remy, and drinking lots of coffee.

Jodi believes clients can experience tangible hope, healing, and wholeness when their relationships with themselves and others are healthy. Compassion is at the heart of the therapeutic process. Her primary goal is to create an environment where clients can safely and authentically explore their pain and growth areas within their internal systems and relational contexts. Harry completed his undergraduate studies at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, and pursued clinical social work at Missouri State University.
He has extensive clinical experience in hospital settings, working as both an in-patient and out-patient clinician. Harry has helped patients recover from mental health challenges and overcome difficulties to lead more fulfilling lives. Additionally, he has led therapy groups and provided care in hospice settings, supporting clients in the final stages of life.
Outside the office, Harry enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and discovering great coffee spots in Austin.

Mackenzie Edwards completed two undergraduate degrees from Texas State University and earned her graduate degree from St. Edward’s University.
Mackenzie is equipped with a wide range of experience in medical health, human psychology & development, and entrepreneurship. Her approach draws from evidence-based protocols, clinical practice, and her diverse professional and cultural experiences while in the therapy room.
Her goal is to provide a safe environment for her clients to explore, heal, and talk through their experiences while trying on new skills that will allow them to discover their path to joy, purpose and satisfaction!

Kelly Cochrane, LPC
Kelly Cochrane completed her undergraduate education at Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in School Counseling at DePaul University.
Kelly has worked in a variety of mental health settings including schools, a children’s hospital and a residential program for teens in Chicago experiencing adversities such as abuse and neglect. Kelly specializes in mental health support for adolescents and adults, with a focus on school and career challenges, self-esteem, relationships, life transitions, executive functions, anxiety and depression.
Kelly recently moved to Austin from Chicago, IL. She enjoys staying active outside while hiking and paddle boarding, exploring local live music and finding the best barbeque spots!

Rebecca Mauldin, LCSW

Rebecca earned her undergraduate degree in theatre from Grinnell College in Iowa and her graduate degree in social work from the University of Texas at Austin. She has extensive experience supporting clients with anxiety, addiction, and depression, and has worked across various levels of care, including residential treatment and intensive outpatient programs. Rebecca has provided both individual and group therapy. She draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), with a strong emphasis on building a relational connection with clients.
In her free time, she enjoys rollerblading, practicing yoga, and relaxing at home.
