Daniela Burrows, LMSW

Supervised by Tori Elizarde, LCSW-S

Daniela is a staff therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to her work with clients. She believes therapy is a space to slow down, better understand ourselves, and begin noticing the patterns and ways of coping that may have once been helpful but no longer serve us.

Daniela’s approach is relational and collaborative. She works to create a space where clients can show up authentically and explore the many parts of themselves without judgment. She is particularly interested in helping clients understand how their past experiences and relationships have shaped the way they experience themselves, others, and the world around them.

Her work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work, attachment theory, and an understanding of how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system. Daniela approaches therapy through an LGBTQIA+-affirming, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive lens and welcomes clients across identities and life experiences.

Q&A With Daniela

How do you think therapy works?

As social beings, I believe we heal through connection and community. Great therapy provides care with a sprinkle of challenge to create the right conditions for self-discovery.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy with my clients. Utilizing an eclectic and trauma-informed foundation, we will work together to discover your goals and create a treatment plan that fits your needs. Even in the trenches of self-discovery, I love to find moments of lightness with my clients through laughter and celebration of wins, big or small.

During my free time you can catch me playing video games, enjoying Austin’s music scene or curled up on the couch with my cat Stella.
